What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Aide position at Wheeling Hospital?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives clean processed linen from the Finishing area.
- Loads and unloads linen flow rack.
- Delivers linen in sufficient quantities to all linen using units in a timely manner.
- Records all linen delivered and returned daily.
- Answers telephone and Maintains records required.
- Learns all Finishing area job duties.
- Assures all clean linen is transported, stored and kept secure in proper manner as detailed in the laundry Policy and Procedure manual.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations.
- Understands and recognizes potential hazards and risk of injury from equipment defects or improper performance of the job.
- Cooperates and helps co-workers.
- Keeps work area neat and clean.
- Follows all infection control policies and procedures.
- Understands and follows OSHA regulations.
- Meets expectation in regards to regular attendance and punctuality when scheduled to work.
- Understands and recognizes potential hazards and risk of injury from equipment defects or improper performance of the job.
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma / GED or equivalent Life work experience.
