Overview
Wheels Up is looking for a world-class MRO Site Representative to join our team of dedicated and passionate professionals, fueled by the most powerful brand in private aviation, as we continue our mission of democratizing the private aviation space through cutting-edge technology and innovative product and service offerings.
The Site Representative is responsible for monitoring all maintenance activities that occur at the MRO facility they are responsible for. They are expected to work on-site at the assigned MRO facility, and monitor scheduled maintenance activities, manpower allocations, workflows, and overall performance on the Wheels Up fleet. The Site Representative is an integral part of the Planning and MRO performance team and reports to the Manager of 3rd Party MRO.
Responsibilities
- Ensures pre-induction meetings are held for upcoming Scheduled Maintenance events and establishes clear expectations for upcoming visits 30 days before aircraft arrival and then within 7 days of arrival to solidify visit content
- Confirms Scheduled Maintenance event workflow expectations with MRO facility
- Ensures all parts are pre-ordered by Wheels Up planning team
- Confirms aircraft arrival and communicates any schedule changes to MRO facility
- Ensures workflow is efficient and on track
- Ensures manpower allocation is in line with MRO facility contractual obligations
- Monitors maintenance progress daily and updates internal Wheels Up Score Card and internal flight tracking system (Avianis)
- Ensures work progress status and roadblocks are communicated to Maintenance Control and other key internal Wheels Up departments
- Orders any parts required during the Scheduled Maintenance event, which are above MRO facility limits
- Approves discrepancies (following approval chart guidelines) as they are generated and ensures they are worked in a timely fashion
- Engages internal Wheels Up FSR team for specific pre-established issues
- Inspects aircraft once MRO facility completes all work, following established checklist
- Advises MRO facility of any post-visit needs
- Assists MRO facility QA with any paperwork questions/concerns and ensures progressive paperwork is sent to Maintenance Control consistently
- Meets with Wheels Up pilots to discuss key elements of completed work scope and answers any questions the crew might have
- Participates in Operation/Functional Check Flights (OCF/FCF) if required
- Reviews preliminary invoices for accuracy
- Resolves any billing issues as needed
- Approves invoice for final payment (following approval chart guidelines)
- Monitors aircraft performance for 30 days following the completion of a Scheduled Maintenance event
- Follows up with MRO on aircraft performance status
- Works with MRO facility to recover any monetary exposure due to incorrect or inadequate maintenance performed during the Scheduled Maintenance event, which induced an AOG event within 30 days (or more if applicable)
- Documents and monitors MRO facility performance and reports data to Leadership weekly/monthly/quarterly
- Any other duties assigned by Leadership team
- 25% of travel may be required
Qualifications
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate required
- 10 years of Aircraft Maintenance experience required
- Part 121 or 135 Maintenance oversight experience required
- Understanding of aircraft Scheduled Maintenance preferred
- CAMP (or other) Maintenance Tracking System experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to collaborate with inter-departmental personnel in meeting Wheels Up objectives

The wage range for this position is $90,000/Yr. to $115,000/Yr. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, such as differences in skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. This wage range has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with where the position may be filled. At Wheels Up, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Your placement within the wage range is primarily based on your qualifications and experience. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. Wheels Up also offers a full range of healthcare (medical, dental, vision, mental health), a generous 401k plan, financial, and other benefits, including pet, life and disability insurance and paid time off. On January 1 of each year, employees with be provided with 40 hours of PTO that can be used during the calendar year. In addition, employees will accrue additional PTO (2 Hours Per Week) up to a max of 136 hours.
