What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Chef position at Whip Dessert & Cafe?
We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to prepare a variety of desserts, French pastries. The chef will develop new amazing dessert, pastry menu items and be able to do cake design.
Responsibilities :
- Create dessert menu
- Manage culinary concepts in the pastry kitchen environment.
- Ensure production, quality, presentation, application, and continuous development of pastries and desserts.
- Respond to special dietary needs.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of menus.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of ingredients, pastry products and vendors.
- Ensure that products are properly ordered, received and stored.
- Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
- Use broad view perspectives for development, authenticity and storytelling.
- Gain trust of others through integrity and authenticity.
Basic Qualifications :
- Minimum of three years of pastry experience
- Experience in pastry medium to high-volume production, themed pastries and plated desserts.
- Understand and demonstrate fundamentals of pastry arts
- Experienced pastry making
- Cake decorating and design
- Knowledge of ingredients and inventory practices.
- Flexibility to work a varying schedule.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
