Job Responsibilities
Primary Objective:
Supervises and coordinates all facets of inventory control and ensures systems, processes, and reporting are aligned to meet customer requirements.
Principle Duties and End Results:
- Monitor all cycle count programs to ensure consistency and accuracy; identify all operational problems in inventory.
- Maintain records of all variances according to established procedures and ensure accuracy of all product transfers.
- Prepare and update all required paperwork for vendor products and ensure accuracy in all inventories and resolve issues in timely manner.
- Administer return shipments of customer, in case of shortages and/or damages, communicate to related parties.
- Monitor work of all inventory control personnel and ensure achievement of objectives.
- Monitor and ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions and maintain effective recordkeeping.
- Monitor all inventory control processes; documents all procedures, maintains all related equipment and tools.
- Actively supports the management and monitoring of order fulfillment to meet customer requirements including inbound receiving, quality inspections, put-away, inventory management & control, returns management.
- Prepares reports as required and reviews measurements to suggest process improvements.
- Contributes to the training of all personnel in inventory/receiving.
- Manages labor requirements based on forecast of workload.
- Ensures a safe work environment and equipment operation in compliance with OSHA and local fire and safety regulations. Oversees policies and procedures for all maintenance activities.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse management, distribution, and inventory control, preferably in public warehousing or private company with a strong emphasis on high volume distribution.
- Proven track record of successful multi-client warehouse supervision.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, technology, order fulfillment to retail, transportation, and supply chain management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective organizational and planning skills including the ability to define a problem, collect data, determine root cause, and work to resolution with a team.
- Experience in a direct customer interaction role, with solid background of managing work teams to meet customer expectations.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Proven leadership ability; demonstrated ability to build, mentor, train, grow, and lead a team.
- Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
