Reporting directly to the President, you will play a vital role in the success of our construction projects. Working closely with our field supervisors to analyze blueprints to determine the electrical needs of various projects, provide solutions to increase profitability, and prepare project bids, you will lead the effort to accurately calculate the total costs associated with projects and ensure the company operates in the most cost effective manner possible. Daily interaction with all levels of our team, customers, suppliers, and project stakeholders will require a high level of teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints to determine wire lengths, suitable outlet placement, lighting placement, etc. based on electrical codes
- Determine the amount, type, and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each project
- Determine the amount of labor required to complete each project
- Determine the potential profitability of projects to assist in making sound bidding decisions
- Provide viable solutions to increase project profitability
- Complete and submit competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines
- Regularly update cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labor costs
- Evaluate labor and material costs to determine how to make projects as cost effective as possible, without sacrificing quality
Qualifications:
- Experience analyzing blueprints and making sound bidding decisions preferably in the electrical field
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, including an ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines across multi-functional teams, while organizing and prioritizing tasks from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining the highest quality standards
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to communicate at all levels within the organization; expert-level fluency in written English
- Customer focused, with the desire to deliver exceptional service to both our customers and our internal team
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work independently without being micromanaged, as well as be an effective member of a team
- Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction management, contract administration, and local and federal permit requirements
- Proficient in PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software, as well as the ability to learn new software programs
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Accubid, Service Titan, Desc, and ESC is extremely beneficial
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program, or other certified electrical training program is preferred
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Must have a clean driving record and possession of valid driver's license
- Must be willing and able to pass a drug screen and background check
