WCS Healthcare is offering up to $2,300/week to a PCU Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Watertown, NY!

Job Function

Using electrocardiogram (EKG) machines to continuously track heart performance
Analyzing EKG results to establish baselines and spot abnormalities; Recording EKG results to keep patient information accurate
Overseeing stress tests to assess patients’ heart function
Delivering emergency medical care when patients suffer heart attacks or other life-threatening problems
Administering medications and other treatments ordered by physicians
Educating patients on lifestyle changes and ongoing treatments prior to discharge from the hospital

Job Requirements

Two full years of Telemetry RN experience is required
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Current NY State RN license
BLS & ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
High-level knowledge of cardiac medicine ; Proficiency at operating EKG equipment and interpreting EKGs
Strong oral communication skills to interact effectively with patients, physicians and other staff
Thorough understanding of infection control, privacy laws and health and safety regulations
