Position Overview:
The Junior Account Manager will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing leads, supporting the sales team in managing client accounts, developing client relationships, and driving sales/revenue growth through proactive outreach and relationship building. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Assist in managing a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and addressing any issues or concerns promptly. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Sales Support: Support the senior account managers in developing and executing sales strategies, preparing sales proposals, and conducting market research.Initiate and manage outbound sales calls to qualify leads, understand client needs, and offer appropriate solutions.
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
- Sales Reporting: Track sales activities, prepare reports, and provide insights on client needs and market trends to help inform sales strategies.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct virtual product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the benefits and value of our products or services.
- Customer Service: Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses, and ensuring client needs are met effectively.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, product development) to ensure alignment on client requirements and company objectives.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with company goals and ensure the delivery of high-quality leads.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 4-5 years of experience in inside/outside sales or customer-facing role is preferred but not required. Experience in the electrical distribution industry is a must.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Attributes: Energetic, self-motivated, and results-driven with a strong desire to learn and grow within the company. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Existing clientbase a plus
- Must be able to commute between NY and NJ
- Reports to Executive VP
