- Hourly Rate: Up to $18 per hour (based on level of experience)

- Full-time position (Night Shift: 7PM-7AM )

Responsibilities
What you’ll do
Wieland currently has an immediate opportunity for a Quality Tech to join our growing team! This role will reside in our Pine Hall, NC facility.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Calibrate, set up, basic PM & troubleshoot eddy current tester, including both rotary and stationary testers
- Set up, basic PM & troubleshoot inline inkjet printer
- Inspect direct cast shell quality & judge
- Calibrate and repair gauges
- Maintain and update gauge program
- PRM sample grain check and judge
- Emulsion concentration check and judge
- Emulsion PH value check and judge
- Responsible for inspecting and judging red-tag material
- Re-build ink spray nozzles
- Run samples on Sparkarc chemistry analyzer, basic troubleshooting, PM & repair of Sparkarc
- Run samples on Leco oxygen analyzer, basic troubleshooting, PM & repair of Leco
- Run samples on new and old tensile machines, basic troubleshooting, PM & repair of tensile machine. Know how to calculate tensile, yield & elongation using Excel
- Run grain size machine and get grain measurement. Grind, polish, etch sample and read grain size under microscope
- Run new and old Rockwell machine to measure hardness of material
- Run grain samples from IH & BC lines
- Run OD samples from BC lines
- Run laser mike to measure OD
- Enter test results in WFS
- Clear orders in Q-block of SAP
- Perform 13 point checks
- Customer quality complaint return sample analysis
Qualifications
What you’ll need
- 1-2 years of experience in quality preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Knowledge of conversions between MPa and ksi, mm to inch, etc.
- Must be mechanically inclined, able to assemble & disassemble mechanical parts
- High school diploma required
- Must be dependable, reliable, cooperative
- Must have good working knowledge of computers, Microsoft software [Excel, Outlook]
- Ability to give reports and follow instructions, both verbally & in writing
