Wieland is hiring a Shipping Specialist. The Shipping Specialist will be responsible for accurately updating and entering production-related data. Additional tasks include data entry, communicating with clients, and working closely with other departments, such as Production and Sales to ensure customer orders will be delivered on-time and with the utmost professionalism. This role is located in Coppell, TX and will be fully on-site.
Responsibilities
Shipping Specialist Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by staying on top of pending orders and customer requests
- Compare and select online tools for the cost effective and quality transit of goods
- Coordinate with the Sales and Production Teams to provide shipping information
- Communicate with customers regarding shipping status, issues and/or delays
- Troubleshoot problems with customer orders, accounts, and related issues
- Properly set up and review BOL’s if received from outside support
- Ensure the proper documentation corresponds to customer PO’s
- Utilize software to complete order entry, shipping, and invoicing
- Coordinate regularly with various shipping carriers and brokers
- Track and communicate available inventory and material stock
- Update warehouse equipment log for recordkeeping purposes
- Manage documentation and maintain updated filing system
- Process documentation for domestic/international shipping
- Review records for accuracy and report any discrepancies
- Correct missing, incomplete, and/or inaccurate records
- Promptly respond to calls, emails and correspondence
- Document orders, records and files as needed
- Coordinate with interconnected departments
- Other shipping-related tasks as assigned
Shipping Specialist Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in administration, data entry or a related field preferred.
- Understanding of metals and/or manufacturing industries preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency with computers and data entry
- Fluent English language skills, both speaking and writing
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail (critical skill)
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers and management
- Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary
