We are looking for full-time machine operators with a desire to excel in a fast-paced high-tech environment, to continue our tradition of producing high-quality hosiery in our Finishing Department.
Hours: 2pm to 10pm Monday - Friday. Overtime as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn and execute all boarding, pairing, packaging, and printing procedures and standards.
- Understand all pertinent information systems and record/report required data.
- Board hosiery according to standards. Move material handling equipment to assigned locations. Locate batches with appropriate work orders and uses designated machines.
- Inspect hosiery and sort according to standards. Fill out paperwork related to quality.
- Package products according to standards, using appropriate equipment and supplies. Print labels and packaging according to specifications using software and equipment provided. Store and retrieve material as required.
- Keep work area and equipment clean.
- Other duties as assigned in Knitting or Distribution Center departments.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to be flexible and work under pressure in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
- Ability to interact in a proactive manner with peers and management and work as a team player.
- Must be capable of standing and walking up to 12 hours per day.
- Must be capable of hand coordination required to apply socks to pneumatic lift and to pair, inspect, label and bag socks.
- Must be capable of frequent shoulder-height reaching and bending and able to lift 25#.
- Capable of adhering to Standard Work Procedures.
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication).
- Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship.
PREFERENCES:
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
