Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, review, automate and execute test cases
- Independently develop, modify, and execute test plans based on requirements and design documents.
- Participate in product and feature design with developers, usability specialists, user interface designers, and product managers.
- Participate in functional reviews of specifications.
- Participate in cross team and milestone testing activities
- Diagnose, track, and manage quality issues to resolution. Scrub tickets by reproducing problems, identifying regressions, clarifying impact, and filtering out duplication
- Develop integration tests
- Participate in and contribute to code reviews
- Automate test cases and plans for validating features in a SAAS environment
- Record in bug tracking system defects from testing
- Adhere to quality best practices throughout the product development life cycle
- Take ownership of your work and continuously strive for improvement
- Self-motivated to acquire additional technical skills
Required Skills:
- 5 years’ experience in automation, testing and quality engineering
- Proficient with a high-level language such as Java, C#.NET
- Proficient in REST API, Micro services, Web services and API integration testing using Postman/Rest Assured.
- Proficient in testing data in import and export files, and submitting and inspecting API payloads, troubleshooting
- Good understanding of various HTTP methods, HTTP status codes and API endpoints for the purpose of testing.
- Proven experience working with technologies like RESTful API and Page Object Design in UI automation testing (Selenium or cypress preferred)
- Experience with web-based products or services and maintenance of regression, performance, scale tests in large-scale multi-tenant web applications
- Experience working with relational databases, structured query languages, and SQL tools
- Experience with either Windows or Linux operating systems.
- 3 years of automated testing experience in a web-based and client-server environment
- Proven hands-on experience with development
- Comfortable with both manual and automated testing
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across functional team boundaries
- Experience with Version Control, Code Collaboration, and Continuous Integration Systems such as Github
- Experience functioning in a highly dynamic environment, working on multiple tasks concurrently
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology.
