Position Summary: The Attorney provides expert and strategic legal advice to management for day-to-day operations, reviews and analyzes legal issues as it relates to commercial real estate development and operations. Ensures that the company operates within the law at all times, offer counsel on legal issues, create a guardian of the organization, and facilitate business strategies development. They will ensure legal federal, tribal, compliance and limit risk exposure.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Negotiating, writing, and executing agreements and contracts on behalf of the company.
- Offering counsel on a variety of legal issues as it pertains to day-to-day business management and operations issues, including commercial real estate and construction management.
- Advising executives within the company.
- Working alongside other departments within the company.
- Advising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different deals.
- Researching and anticipating unique issues that could impact the company.
- Reviewing advertising and marketing materials to ensure that they are in compliance with legal requirements.
- Providing training to the company on legal topics.
Key Qualifications - Education & Work Experience:
- Juris doctorate from an accredited law school and seven (7) years' experience as a licensed attorney involving commercial real estate, construction law, and general counsel experience.
- Member in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a highs school diploma or GED.
- Must possess a valid AZ driver's license and provide proof of past driving record for thirty-nine (39) months from the Department of Motor Vehicl GRIC driver's permit will be required, drive certification needed to drive all community vehicles.

- Considerable knowledge of tribal, state, and federal law affecting trust land and commercial leasing
- Exhibit a high level of professionalism
- Ability to analyze, appraise, research, organize facts, evidence, and precedents, and present them in oral and written reports
- Knowledge of and understanding of correspondence requirements in a political environment
- Must act with diplomacy and tact
- Knowledge of appropriate safeguards for protecting confidential data
- Skill in negotiation of complex leases and organizational contracts
- Demonstrate organization and time management skills
- Must have ability to exercise sound independent judgment
