Wiley Enterprise Analytics team is looking to hire a Director of Analytics. Our mission is to empower senior leadership to make informed decisions through on-demand provision of informative, accurate and powerful data analytics. You will work directly with senior leadership to enhance enterprise analytical capabilities and delivering insights that inform key decisions based on a deep understanding of the business and stakeholder needs. You will build and manage a strong team of high-performing data analysts, ensuring they are set up for success. To be successful in this role you must be highly data literate, have strong business acumen and a strategic thinker.
How you will make an impact:

Build processes for effective collaboration with stakeholders. Support stakeholders by understanding their needs, translating those needs into innovative analytics solutions, and delivering on those solutions with a sense of urgency.

Manage the creation of an Enterprise Leadership Dashboard and ensure 100% data accuracy and standardization of KPIs across Business Units.

Apply quantitative methods such as predictive modeling, segmentation and testing methodologies to analyze and interpret information to drive business results.

Provide thought leadership on how to maximize the value of our data to inform decision making capabilities

Manage a team of data analysts and provide leadership through coaching on a regular basis

Develop a CoE across Wiley for enabling organizations to better leverage data to make faster business decisions, identify opportunities, better visualization using PowerBi and navigate the complexities of moving into “big data.

Based on business requirements, work with Enterprise Data Strategy team and/or Business stakeholders to identify data sources required to build accurate metrics.

Assess data quality and integrity and proactively work with the relevant internal teams to suggest and implement a fix to ensure metric accuracy

Guide data analysts in creation of dimensional data models, translation of business requirements into data maps, data analysis and dashboard visualization best practices
We are looking for people who have:

BSc required: MSc preferred in: Information management, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.

7 years of experience within the data analysis field including KPI creation, reporting, data use processes.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence and leading analytics team.

Strong quantitative analysis skills; deep hands-on analytical experience.

Proficient in SQL and Excel

A data-driven storyteller; ability to identify and communicate compelling insights derived from quantitative analysis

Experience working with analytic and insights partners to understand and propose solutions and approaches to analytic requirements

Previous experience with ODS/EDW database technology (E.g. Snowflake) and understanding of various data formats such as CSV
