Dental Assistant position available
Position available for a motivated individual with a strong work ethic. We will train the successful candidate that demonstrates an eagerness to learn so they may become a valuable member of our team. X-ray certified desirable or ability to obtain in reasonable time frame.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to assisting the dentist in all phases of dental care, setting up the operatories prior to appointment and sterilizing the operatories after the patient is escorted out of the room. Our family practice delivers most phases of dental care including; restorative dentistry (fillings), periodontics (gum therapy), oral surgery, and complex crown and bridge . We also provide state of the art cosmetic dentistry, as we were voted " Best Cosmetic Dentist in Southern Maryland in 2019" . An outgoing and pleasant nature will aid in greeting patients, seating the patient, reviewing medical history and will help in assuring that all patients will have a positive dental experience. It is necessary for the candidate to possess a team work mentality to assure a seamless flow in the office.
The successful candidate will learn many facets of dentistry and have many opportunities to interact with many wonderful people, both patients and staff members. The successful candidate will also have many opportunities for career advancement. The practice will pay for all successfully completed education courses pertaining to Dental Assisting. These opportunities include becoming a Certified Dental Assistant, Radiology certified and becoming an Expanded Function Dental Assistant.
It will be necessary to have above average phone etiquette, great verbal skills, ability to think and write clearly as well as being punctual and ready to work.. The successful candidate will be paid based on their skill set presented, attitude, and ability to learn.
