What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Superintendent (Academics) position at Willard R-2 School District?
- Graduate Degree (Specialist or Ed. D./Ph. D.) from an accredited College or University.
- Minimum of five years administrative experience.
- Central office experience preferred.
- Superintendent Certificate (or eligibility of) issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
- Applicants must possess and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills.

- Provide Direction, Guidance, and Vision to the PreK-12 Instructional Program.

- Provide Direction and Vision for Certified Staff with the assistance of the Superintendent.
- Assist the Superintendent with the development and implementation of policies, handbook, procedures, rules and regulations in accordance with Missouri State Law.
- Oversight of AC Compliance.
- Oversight of Life Ready Graduate programming.
- Assist the Superintendent with Strategic Plan implementation.
- Assist the Superintendent and Board of Education in the development of comprehensive and long-range planning and evaluation of district goals.
- Oversight of MSIP 6/ Annual Performance Report.
- Oversight of district Instructional/Technology Program.
- Advise the Board of Education and Superintendent in the execution of contracts, termination of contracts, and certified employee grievance / appeals.
- Perform all duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
