What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elections Data Coordinator position at Williamson County?
- Utilizes Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to monitor and update addresses of voters within the Voter Registration Street Index
- Provides statistical data and logs of voter registration list including maintaining voting districts information
- Compiles weekly statistical reports to track voter registration count and trends
- Reviews, collects, transcribes, and processes voter registration applications and prepares documents for electronic use
- Processes and updates all inactive voters who are deceased or mentally capacitated
- Prepares all peace officer forms for the elections department
- Creates and prints voter registration certificates for distribution
- Updates daily rosters of voter registration and provides technical assistance to polling sites
- Processes all limited ballot applications and collaborates with various counties to update voter registration history for recording purposes
- Researches voter addresses and information to identify commercial addresses, invalid addresses, or invalid voter information
- Maintains accurate voter registration rolls by performing quality control and data entry tasks for accuracy
- Collaborates with political subdivisions to provide voter registration data analysis and election service contracts with supporting documentation
- Processes contracts, election notices and calendars
- Create and prepares e-poll pads for distribution them to various polling locations
- Serves as a primary contact for the election Judge’s hotline and assists with complex issues from elections judges and staff
- Cross-trains with office staff in other areas to ensure continuity of departmental operations
- Communicates frequently via telephone, e-mail, and in person with poll workers and the general public
- Monitors multiple departmental email accounts
- Attends all meetings and trainings, as required
- Performs special duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Position involves prolonged sitting at a workstation, visual examination of documents, reaching, walking, twisting, bending, standing, and occasional lifting/carrying

- Work is primarily indoors in an air-conditioned environment
- Regular travel between work sites as required
IRREGULAR HOURS
- Work outside of the normal office hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) may be required

- Associate degree in in Government, Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field and one (1) year of data entry experience including knowledge of GIS and tracking systems; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Prior experience working in Elections and/or public-sector environment
- Knowledge of GIS, voter registration and election management software
- Registered Election Official (REO) Certification within two (2) years of employment
- Certified Elections Registration Administrator (CERA) Certification within five (5) years of employment
