The Senior Business Development Analyst's core function is to provide essential tactical support to the fast-paced Business Development team that drives business development and marketing for the firm’s Technology Transactions and Patents & Innovation departments. The position reports to the lead Business Development Manager for the Technology Transactions and Patents & Innovation departments. Responsibilities Include: Support and drive marketing and business development initiatives across the Technology Transactions and Patents & Innovation departments. Prepare compelling marketing and business development collateral, including basic and highly tailored pitch materials. Support the Business Development team’s pitch tracking and reporting activities . Help track and maintain key attorney matters for the experience database. Conduct in-depth research on markets, technologies, clients, and prospective clients for Technology Transactions and Patents & Innovation departments attorneys. Identifies and recommends strategic business development opportunities for designated practices. Consults with attorneys to identify individual and practice group business objectives; recommends business development opportunities to achieve those objectives. Participate in the successful production and execution of client events, speaking engagements, and sponsorships, including analyzing attendee lists, preparing tailored materials, supporting attorney follow-up, and tracking outcomes and activities in the CRM system. Identifies, manages, and directs development and production of other communications including internal newsletters and collateral materials in support of business development activities. Collaborate closely with marketing and business development colleagues to ensure marketing and BD plans integrate with and support firmwide marketing and BD strategies and the strategies of other practice groups and departments. Collaborate with key departments across the firm (including diversity and inclusion, pricing, IT, etc.) to support client needs. Support the Technology Transactions and Patents & Innovation departments team and leadership to drive practice and technology innovation initiatives including cross-selling initiatives. Desired Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience. Preferably in a law firm, professional services or other client relationship-based organization. Additional experience supporting Business Development activities preferred. Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines. Strong commitment to client service excellence and teamwork. Must possess the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written. Extremely detail-oriented, with superior proofreading and fact checking skills Efficient, highly organized and able to stay productive under pressure with tight deadlines . Proficient in the use of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and database applications. Aptitude for learning new software, systems and procedures quickly . Able to work independently and in team environments with a diverse group of professionals. Self-motivated and positive attitude.
