We’re currently seeking a Full-time Purchasing Agent in Klamath Falls! 1-3 years of purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, procurement, and/or logistics experience is strongly preferred. Experience in a manufacturing/production environment is also a plus!
The Purchasing Agent will support business operations by finding and purchasing products for the company to use/resell, manage supplier relations, and coordinate logistics to support the company’s key procurement objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate suppliers by considering price, capabilities, quality, availability, and other criteria. Manage supply agreements in support of overall supply chain goals.
- Manage performance, commercial terms, and strategic relationships with direct and indirect material suppliers.
- Maintain knowledge of current market conditions and developing technologies for cost effective strategies.
- Resolve delivery and quality issues through root cause analysis and appropriate supplier escalations.
- Analyze and evaluate all current applicable SKU demand to determine replenishment EOQ and stocking levels, as well as managing slow-moving and obsolescence SKUs.
- Execute successful supplier transitions and ensure implementation of consignment, stocking/3PL solutions with suppliers to improve overall supply flexibility and responsiveness.
- Manage logistics for related indirect and direct material replenishment.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of sourcing or procurement experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus.
- Knowledge and proficiency in Excel, MS Office Suites, Oracle, and iProcurement is a plus. Ability to run macros or complex reporting is preferred.
- Ability to analyze supply chain data and suggest improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively individually as well as part of a team.
- Ability to gather and evaluate data for material forecasts and analyze cost comparisons.
