Job Summary:
The learning and development technology specialist will support the operation of the learning function and other corporate initiatives. This role is also the primary system administrator for the learning management system (Learn Center through Cornerstone) and involves development of learning programs and enhancement tools as well as promotion and maintenance of the system and its related offerings.
Major Responsibilities:
- Communicate and manage vendor releases of new functionality
- Maintain software licensing and required upgrades
- Create, document, and maintain security permission groups & constraints
- Manage development and maintenance of core functions, custom pages and links for employee learn center
- Work with HR Director to create and maintain new learning programs and curriculums
- Troubleshoot with cornerstone representatives to resolve any admin issues
- Remain current on technology trends and tools
- Create reports on learning activities to ensure timely and full completion of training especially regulatory trainings
- Support the HR Director in guiding employees to the site to ensure proper utilization
- Remain current on technology trends and tools within the learning and development space
- Assist the HR Director in ensuring the vendor contracts and agreements are clearly documented and up to date
Required Qualifications:
- Degree or certificate in technical background or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience with learning management system administration
- Demonstrated ability to develop, market and manage learning programs
- Working knowledge of eLearning software, Adobe tools, animation, SCORM, HTML5, video editing and file transfer protocols
- Experience with virtual classroom development
Required Education / Certifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Proven experience with learning management system administration

- Strong technical aptitude for learning technologies and online interaction platforms
- Working knowledge of eLearning software, Adobe tools, animation, SCORM, HTML5, video editing and file transfer protocols
- Experience with virtual classroom development
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives/projects and meeting agreed upon timelines and objectives
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong, positive working relationships with members across the company
- Comfortable with ambiguity and conferring with management on unusual matters

Base salary/hourly rate range for this position in Connecticut is between $65,000 and $105,000. Please note that specific compensation decisions are based upon a variety of job-related factors as permitted by law, including geographic location, credentials, skills, education, training and experience.
