WIN Waste Innovations is a vertically integrated business with a platform of 50 strategically located collection, transfer and disposal assets. These include waste-to-energy facilities, transfer stations, ash monofills, landfills, and fleets of rail cars and collection vehicles. We process more than 11 million tons of waste annually, converting 6.7 million tons of waste into clean, renewable energy that powers 340,000 homes. We recycle more than 234,000 tons of plastic, paper and metals from the waste stream.

This position manages the operations staff (operations specialist, operations clerk, and scale house attendants) on a day-to-day basis. The Admin Manager will assist in coordinating all aspects of daily operations, including recording and reporting data for rail, administration, and reconciliation. This manager is expected to perform at a high level of responsibility and with minimal supervision. Duties and tasks are varied and may be somewhat complex.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages the operations specialist, operations clerk, and scale house to ensure all administrative tasks are complete and provides support to the General Manager

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the operations specialist, operations clerk, and scale house attendants.
  • Maintain safety policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the safe, efficient, and secure operation of the scale house and ensure their team has attended and completed safety training as applicable.
  • Communicates with internal and external customers regarding various issues and questions as directed by management.
  • Assists in the implementation of operational projects, employee activities, annual events, customer appreciation, as needed.
  • Ensures that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Oversees general office operation.
  • Troubleshoots issues that may arise with rail, records, and scales.
  • Assists the Corporate office with pulling any information needed for Company Audits.
    • Trains operations specialists, operations clerks, and scale house attendants as needed.
    • Monitors operations specialist, operations clerks, and scale house attendants to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Assists when needed to void tickets, resolve customer issues, etc.
  • Ensures the reconciliation of Daily COD Report to TRUX payments for Local Gate Transactions & Batch Closes & Updates TRUX Software daily.
  • Verifies Rail Ticket entries in TRUX to the Rail Master for accuracy.
  • Backup to cover responsibilities of the Scale House Attendant and Rail Operations Clerk when someone is out sick or on vacation.
  • Operations specialist, operations clerk, and scale house attendant report to this individual
  • Other related duties, as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility

This position is a management position that maintains their team's schedules, staffing levels, and coverage. This manager approves and monitors timecards and employee attendance, while holding employees accountable to their job duties. The Admin Manager will hire and maintain their team (hiring, disciplinary actions, and assignments).

Minimum Qualifications

The following are the minimum qualifications for this position.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • In lieu of degree, 7 years of experience
