As our Key Account Manager at Winchester's Ruggedized division, you will be a part of a design and manufacturing division where our connectivity products are used primarily on the latest rail mass transit, marine, and oil and gas platforms. You will play a pivotal role in nurturing and expanding our relationships with key clients. Your primary focus will be on understanding client needs, strategizing to meet their requirements, and ensuring their satisfaction while driving revenue growth for the company. This is a remote position.
Criteria for Success:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing is a plus
- Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar sales role within the interconnect industry
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the rail mass transit market landscape
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective client relationships
- Strategic thinker with a track record of developing successful account plans
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and extract actionable insights
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events as needed

What will you be Accountable for?
- Customer satisfaction & communication; including direct and distribution customers
- High level customer relationship development including identifying and bringing in new customers, as well as strengthening existing relationships
- Long term Organic Growth - establish a Sales process & strategy for profitability by being focused on customer service, teamwork, communication, accurate and timely quoting, contract review, OTD, and customer satisfaction
- Culture - Champion the One Winchester culture throughout the division
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts
- Act as the primary point of contact for designated key clients, understanding their goals, challenges, and unique business needs
- Regularly engage with clients to assess their satisfaction, address concerns, and identify new opportunities for collaboration
- Identify growth opportunities within key accounts and develop sales strategies to capitalize on them
- Consistently meet or exceed budgeted bookings and revenue goals set for the key accounts
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing agreements to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships
- Work closely with various internal departments, including sales, marketing, product development, and operations, to deliver exceptional value to key clients
- Relay client feedback and market insights to relevant teams to enhance products and services
How will you Collaborate?
- Collaborate between Ruggedized and Corporate Sales Team in a way that leads by example, holds people accountable, and utilizes data to make informed decisions
- Actively participate on behalf of the Sales team both internally and externally on New Product Introduction projects. Including Quoting, Engineering requirements, Contract review, RMA's, production, and general customer service
- Work directly with Ruggedized engineers to develop strategic product roadmaps and detailed forecasts
- Have a positive, engaged, and infectious attitude that's easy to work with and aligns with our culture
What are you Empowered to do?
- Support the Sales strategy for short & long term organic growth with measurable KPIs that align with the budgeted bookings, revenue, and EBITDA goals
- Strengthen and build relationship(s) with Key Customers and the Corp Sales team
- Collaborate frequently with other departments to ensure accurate and timely quotes, customer satisfaction, contract review completion, OTD is met, and customer communication is supported
- Support new business opportunities from creation through production execution to ensure success and customer satisfaction
- Identify target customers and profitable opportunities that fit our core technologies we should support for long term organic growth
- Communicate with your team at a cadence that makes expectations and performance clear
- Continually seek ways to best empower others, delegate authority, assign responsibilities, cross-train, and improve communication with the internal and external sales team
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to refine account strategies and stay ahead of the curve
