We are looking for enthusiastic professionals to join us in furthering this work. www.wsesu.org/socjusWSESU is seeking a school social worker to serve at Brattleboro High School within a special education team to support students with social/emotional challenges and accessibility to the general education classroom environment. Job responsibilities include providing consultation on student social/emotional needs to classroom teachers, designing and implementing preventative interventions, developing behavioral intervention plans, leading student social skills and counseling groups, and assisting with crisis management as needed.
Successful candidates will possess Masters in Social Work (LICSW preferred) with experience providing services in a school setting. Additionally, candidates must have effective communication and problem solving skills, promote and maintain positive relationships with students, families, state agencies and community partners, and utilize trauma-informed educational practices to support student well-being. Applicants must be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Vermont AOE as a School Social Worker. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proficiency in the Google platform.
