Prep Crew 2

FLSA Classification: Nonexempt Pay Range: $17.00-$20.00

Department: Growing Reports to: Prep Crew Supervisor

Summary:

Responsible for filling and or emptying of the growing rooms by following supervisor instructions. Drive tractor-trailer as required for filling of rooms.

Essential Functions

· Report all injury and property damage accidents or incidents to the Safety Office, Supervisor, and/or Human Resources as soon as possible after they occur

· Complete a satisfactory probationary 90-day

· Maintain regular attendance and punctuality

· Must be able to work in a team environment by assisting others, as needed and maintaining a positive attitude

· Fill and or dump rooms by following the growing schedule

· Set up filling and or dumping equipment

· Ensure equipment is working properly and report any issues immediately to maintenance or management

· Clean equipment and growing room areas by following the set procedure

· Follow SOPs for filling and or dumping

Drive the tractor-trailer inside the facility to move compost from Phase 2 to Phase 3 (2 days a week)

· Assist with spawning (1 day a week)

· Operate machinery to assist Phase 1, as needed

Physical Demands

· Standing for prolonged periods of time (entire shift)

· Lift and or move up to 30lbs at a time

· Bend/Twist frequently

· Use hands to finger, handle, or feel

· Reach with hands and arms

· Talk or hear

· Stand and walk

· Specific vision abilities required by this job description by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

· Repeat the same processes/movement daily

· Work outside in the heat and or cold depending on weather conditions

Requirements, Education & Experience

· Any combination equivalent to sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the above-mentioned knowledge and abilities.

· Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred

· Must be able to operate tractor-trailer no CDL required

Schedule

· There is no set schedule for this position therefore employees must be able to work weekends, overtime, and holidays

Work Environment

· This position requires work in a typical farm environment and includes conditions such as the following: cold, heat, wet, humid, fumes, odors, dust, gases, trip hazards, sharp objects, and heavy objects.
