Window Welder is looking to hire an entry-level and/or highly-skilled Auto Glass Technician to join our team! Our company is locally owned and operated. We have been in business since 1986 and take pride in the excellent glass service we provide our customers. The successful applicant will repair, replace and recalibrate windshields, back glass, door/vent/quarter glass, sunroofs, mirrors, window regulators, etc. on customer’s vehicles including all domestic, foreign, and classic cars, trucks, SUVs, RVs, motorhomes, semi-trucks, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, off-road vehicles, etc.

Job Duties:
- Perform in-shop and mobile auto glass repair, replacement and recalibration services with efficiency, accuracy, and in accordance with Window Welder’s, dealership and manufacturer/factory approved methods, tools and techniques
- Safely remove/reinstall all necessary vehicle parts and remove damaged glass and install replacement glass without causing damage to customer’s vehicle
- Ensure customer’s vehicle is vacuumed and cleaned properly after installation
- Examine replacement glass for defects prior to installation
- Inspect damage, troubleshoot and test vehicles to determine required or recommended auto glass repair or replacement
- Provide exceptional customer service to every customer, every time
- Operate a Window Welder van, following all safety rules, cleanliness policies, traffic laws, and maintain a safe driving record
- Ability to operate a computer tablet for the recalibration of the ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance System)
- Select appropriate tools, safety equipment and parts according to job requirements and properly maintain tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized
- Document all work performed in accordance with operating procedures
- Fulfill all physical requirements of the job

Skills & Abilities
- Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Maintain a valid Idaho driver’s license and clean driving record
- Travel to various locations throughout the Magic Valley and Wood River Valley (company vehicle will be provided)

- Physical requirements: This job will require occasional, physically strenuous work for long periods of time and in adverse conditions. Job requires the ability to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, crawl, climb into, out of and on top of vehicles/equipment, twist, kneel, balance, reach and lift items weighing 80 lbs. shoulder height and above; occasionally lifting items weighing up to 100 lbs., working at elevated heights, remaining on your feet for extended periods. Using exertional force to cut auto glass. Requires the ability to operate a vehicle. Must be able to grasp and hold simple power/hand tools and equipment. Applicant must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat of harm to self, others, or property.
