What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Glass Technician position at WINDSHIELD SPECIALISTS?
At Windshield Specialists we specialize in auto glass replacement and repair, with locations in Peoria, Canton, and Bloomington Illinois. We are seeking an Auto Glass Technician in the Peoria area. This is a full time position with a typical schedule of Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm. Previous automotive industry experience is preferred.
Responsibilities include:
-Repairing and replacing windshields, door glass, backglass, etc.
-Perform glass removal and install work for body shops for vehicle repairs.
-Work is done both in our shop and mobile
-Work can be done outside in most weather conditions.
-Technicians work closely with customers to collect payment, handle invoices and receipts.
Expectations:
-Should be able to lift and carry 50-60 pounds and work on your feet for the majority of the day.
-Must have valid drivers license
-Should have a good attitude towards work and have a desire to learn and grow your skill set.
You will be expected to learn the job alongside another technician until you are confident enough to work on your own. Starting pay $20 hourly based on applicable experience.

Pay: $800.00 - $900.00 per week
