Director of EVS

Position Summary: We are currently hiring a Director of Environmental Services to join our Facilities team! In this brand new position, you will be responsible for overseeing the administrative supervision of the EVS department as well as supervise all cleaning and sanitizing of the facilities of Wingspan Care Group and its affiliate agencies. Additionally, you will manage the purchasing of equipment, supplies and furnishings to accommodate programmatic changes.

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare schedules to ensure regular cleaning and sanitation needs are met as well as to respond to various programmatic needs of the Agency
• Conduct regular inventory and purchase supplies and equipment necessary for cleaning the facilities
• Purchase supplies and equipment to include competitive bidding and comparison-shopping
• Ensure that records are kept regarding sanitation and equipment as required by regulatory bodies
• Maintain food preparation and storage areas in compliance with Health Department and licensing/accreditation standards
• Ensure the EVS Department responds to requests for routine and emergency support from Agency programs and departments

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum 15 years experience working in similar building environments (i.e., hospitals, schools, retirement campuses)
• Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes, and abilities
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment
