What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packer - 2nd Shift position at Winland Foods?

Hours based on shift you work:
- 2nd Shift is 2:00pm to 10:30pm. Must be able to work overtime (2 hours before or after shift times) and weekends as required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Production Packer is an integral role of the production department. You have the following job responsibilities:
- Count and place product in a carton/box as directed
- Stack boxes to a specific pattern
- Complete line set up (including X-Ray set up) and tear down procedures as needed
- Assist in line changeover of equipment
- Must learn to effectively read placards
- Complete roll changes
- Assist with scale and weight setup and monitor product control weights
- Communicate effectively in a team setting
Minimum Requirements for Production Packer:
- Must be 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED not required
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing facility preferred.
