The Esthetician is responsible to deliver the highest of customer service standards for patients and families presenting for services at Winona Health. This caregiver will help to improve clients’ skin by performing several different services including but not limited to manicures, pedicures, facials, chemical peels, and exfoliations. Maintains up-to-date knowledge in the area of skin care as it relates to the age specific populations
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Essential Skills and Experience:
Graduate of an Advanced Esthetician Program, with a current MN license, as well as 1-2 years of experience in skin care. The esthetician will be able to work well with their hands, and have a kind and approachable demeanor, excellent customer service and the ability to make a client/customer feel relaxed. Knowledge of age specific competencies and basic computer skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides preventative skin, hair, and nail care and offers treatments to help keep skin healthy and attractive.
- Serves to make the client feel pampered and relaxed by providing manicures, pedicures, facials, pore cleansing, and microderm abrasion treatments as well as laser hair removal and waxing treatments.
- Maintains knowledge of preventative maintenance, quality control programs, and maintenance of proper records on all clients/equipment.
- Competent in recognizing skin problems that may require a dermatologist or medical professional, and refers the client for medical treatment if the skin problem is beyond the scope of the job.
- Follows all safety and sanitation protocols at all times. Remains compliant and follows all state and federal laws for safety procedures.
- Assist physicians, in performing a variety of skin care treatments.
- Educates clients about how to care for their skin prior to and after an operation. This typically includes providing special skin formulas and demonstrating the way they should be used.
- Educate certain types of individuals who may have experienced burns or cancers on how to apply makeup to properly mask discoloration, scarring or other skin issues resulting from health problems.
- Assists in scheduling patients for procedures/appointments
- Assists in cost containment by maintaining an adequate quantity of supplies in work stations and exam procedure rooms.
