Facilities Manager
1.0 FTE, 80 Hours per Pay Period
Monday- Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Occasional weekends dependent on department needs
Position Overview:
The Facilities Manager will oversee all building and grounds maintenance for our Winona Health. They will be responsible for ensuring the facilities are safe, up to code, and fully operational. The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing contractors and third-party vendors, training new employees, and the successful project management of strategic facility wide maintenance and improvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Planning building maintenance and operational programs.
- Day-to-day management support for all facilities staff members.
- Managing all facilities vendor contracts.
- Ensuring the efficiency of all building systems.
- Coordinating site safety programs building security and maintenance services along with Safety Facilitator
- Preparing operating reports and budgets; works collaboratively with financial teams within the organization
- Ensuring compliance for all facilities programs and processes
- Managing facilities planning and space allocation.
- Preparing cost estimates for department projects and equipment purchases
- Coordinating with department heads and building contractors
- Managing maintenance of grounds
- Ensuring all utility systems are inspected and in accordance with state, federal, and healthcare regulations
- Negotiating bids and contracts for third party workers
- Managing and supervising all facilities personnel
- Overseeing all building functions
- Coordinating all maintenance issues and schedules
- Preparing and filing reports with government and regulatory authorities including environmental permitting
- Championing Environment of Care Committee
- Supporting Safety Committee initiatives
Essential Skills and Experience:
- High school degree
- ASHE Certification, or the ability and desire to obtain, highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, business management or related field, or;
- 5 years of management in facilities or related field highly preferred.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Motivating and encouraging to all caregivers; able to mentor and lead and build collaborative relationships for best outcomes
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Assists team members when needed to accomplish team goals
- Strong computer skills; include experience with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Nonessential Skills and Experience:
Experience with high-pressure boilers and a valid Chief Class B license preferred. Previous supervisory experience in a health care setting preferred.
Experience supporting or leading using diversity, equity or inclusion skills and knowledge
Experience in a health care facilities setting highly preferred

Salary : $60,700 - $76,800
