Job Summary
The Progressive Care Nurse plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients who require close monitoring and specialized treatment. This position involves working with patients who have complex medical conditions, often in a hospital setting. The Progressive Care Nurse is responsible for assessing patient needs, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their health status and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform venipuncture and IV insertion for medication administration and fluid therapy.
- Provide health coaching to patients and their families, educating them on treatment plans and self-care strategies.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to the healthcare team promptly.
- Assist with memory care for patients with cognitive impairments, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care services.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and pharmacology relevant to patient care.
- Experience in medication administration, including IV therapy and phlebotomy skills.
- Familiarity with esthetic laser treatment techniques is a plus but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in occupational health or progressive care settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.

Pay: $2,100.00 - $2,300.00 per week
