Job Type : This is a seasonal position beginning May 1st through Labor Day.
Work Schedule : Full-time or part-time hours between 10 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM, Tuesday-Sunday. Weekend availability required.
Pay Rate : $18.00 per hour, plus a $500 stay bonus (awarded to those who stay from the beginning to the end of the pool season).
Qualifications / Requirements :
- A minimum of 6 months experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Completion of lifeguard training.
- CPR and Lifeguard Certifications required (reimbursement may apply).
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness and ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
Essential Functions :
- Maintains constant monitoring of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of persons in an emergency.
- Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
