If you are an experienced Human Resources professional with a desire to serve others, Enrichment Services Program (ESP) would like you to apply. Based in Columbus, Georgia, ESP serves people with low to moderate income in an eleven-county service area. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this position provides strategic human resources and organizational development leadership.
This position leads, directs and manages ESP’s Human Resources Team. Works closely with the CEO to foster desired culture. Provides strategic thought leadership in organizational planning, organizational development, organizational change and transformation, employee development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, recruitment and retention, and various human resources policies and procedures.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Executive Leadership Team to align the strategic human resources plan with overall strategy of ESP. Proactively engages in discussion with the team to understand staffing challenges and to build policies and programs addressing those challenges. Leads the strategic thought and direction of the human resources area and executes the tactical and operational functions of human resources to achieve objectives. Leads the way in creating and maintaining an employer of choice environment at ESP. Embraces a participative and collaborative management style.
- Acts as Inclusion and Diversity Officer. Fosters the inclusion of "protected groups" and all employees at ESP at every organizational level and in all facets of operations. Continues to support and encourage efforts to maintain a diverse workforce representative of the community and customers served.

Builds the capacity and skills of the full leadership team by ensuring the team has the necessary training and tools to effectively execute on responsibilities. Leads the HR team by example. Serves as a business partner when addressing and resolving complex matters. Ensures understanding of the various tools and systems implemented and holds leaders accountable for using those tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
- Champions and drives organizational change. Works closely with various project teams to provide necessary support and resources to leaders and employees on the change journey to transform ESP. Maintains awareness of trends and workforce demographics that may influence ESP’s ability to execute on strategy.
- Leads the Human Resources Team and build effective strategies and tools to execute on the critical functions of human resources including, but not limited to: budgeting, selection, retention, performance management, career pathing, succession, compensation and benefits, organizational and workforce planning, health and wellness, change management, policy and procedure, compliance, and communication.
- This position oversees a department of five team members and must be hands-on in accomplishing tasks assigned to this position and, of occasion, assisting where needed within the department.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.

Specialized training or certification in human resources

Seven years of progressive human resources experience leading to a leadership role

Demonstrated leadership team building and conflict resolution skills
