Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll candidate to join our team . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll taxes, garnishments, payroll processing, payroll audits, and reporting to state and statutory authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Taxes: Calculate and ensure accurate tax deductions for payroll runs. File tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Garnishments: Process wage garnishments in accordance with applicable laws and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Payroll Processing: Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll distribution.
- Payroll Audit: Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure compliance and accuracy. Identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit required reports to state and statutory authorities. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in payroll management.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software and accounting systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
