Responsibilities
As a District Sales Manager, you’ll oversee a district in our Costco channel, serving one of the nation’s leading retailers. You’ll work closely with your team to deliver outstanding sales results, operational excellence and an exceptional member experience. From recruiting and staffing to driving daily sales performance, you’ll assess each location to identify areas of improvement and respond quickly. And, with the same focus, you’ll celebrate success to reinforce your team’s effort and accomplishments. During your location visits, you’ll put your assessment skills to work, monitoring everything from sales behaviors to product knowledge. Your keen eye will help you identify issues, devise action plans and seek opportunities to refine and grow our business. As you cultivate working relationships with your Regional Director, Kiosk (Store) Managers, Wireless Sales Experts and peers, you’ll gather the tools to build success across your district, tracking overall market performance and creating effective action plans to meet your goals. With clear and definitive objectives, you will continuously identify performance gaps for each team member and successfully implement a plan to close those gaps. Responsibilities -Manage 12-15 Kiosk Managers in the successful operation of Wireless Advocates branded kiosks within our Costco channel. Spend 4 days a week at your locations assessing and coaching team members/recruiting talent, and 1 day a week on planning/administrative/oversight activities. Leadership -Holds team members accountable to all Wireless Advocates performance standards, minimizing or eliminating performance gaps in each location with a sense of urgency, and escalates serious issues when appropriate.-Positively contributes to our guiding principles and key tenets by creating an engaging work environment for our employees and the members we serve.-Communicates relevant information throughout the district in a timely and effective manner.-Conducts regular kiosk visits/touch base meetings with Wireless Managers as well as conference calls, trainings and meetings to foster knowledge, highlight team achievements and share best practices.-Develops and maintains effective working relationships with Exchange management at each location in his/her district.-Actively engages with business partners at Support Headquarters (SHQ), such as Loss Prevention, Human Resources, Revenue Assurance, Operations, etc.-Develops strong working relationships with carrier partners, including maintaining bi-weekly meetings which include kiosk visits and follow-up on results. Sales/Operational Performance -Consistently meets or exceeds sales and performance expectations in each location.-Creates a sharp focus on sales and sales generating activities every day in each location.-Proactively identifies and addresses sales and/or operational gaps.-Ensures operational and training compliance at all locations within established timelines.-Aggressively manages expenses, including promoting and practicing close adherence to the company’s travel policy and ensuring the same of all team members.-Proactively reviews sales and operational reporting to identify potential risks and creates plans to address. Staffing and Scheduling -Actively manages recruiting and staffing for all district positions.-Ensures all locations are staffed and scheduled for maximum productivity.Qualifications
Requirements -2 or more years of experience in consultative sales and sales management experience in an operationally-sound retail environment or in fields involving consumer technology, applications and content.-Experience managing multiple store locations.-Well-versed in all aspects of retail store operations.-Is customer-obsessed.-Demonstrated success in staffing stores with high quality candidates.-Highly effective at coaching, training and developing a sales team and achieving results through clear performance expectations and accountability.-Understands key performance indicators and financial/operational performance data and has the proven ability to translate into action plans.-Established reputation for honest/ethical leadership and leading by example.-Highly-effective communication and interpersonal skills.-Skilled at problem solving and conflict resolution.-Well-developed ability to make sound decisions.-Strong knowledge of common business applications (Web browsers, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc.).-Ability and commitment to outside normal operating hours, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.-Must have high school diploma; BA or BS preferred and/or equivalent work experience.-Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and compliant driving record.
