Wisper is seeking a full-time non-exempt Construction Tower Technician 2 (weekly local travel) to join our Network Construction Team .
Responsibilities for this role include numerous manual labor tasks involved with the installation, service, and decommission of wireless internet service tower equipment throughout our network.
In this position, the tasks will be assigned by the Tower Technician Lead based on individual job sites. Training will include best practices and safety standards.
This position may require off duty hours work to be performed as needed by the department. This position does require up to 70% overnight travel within our Midwest network.
Construction Tower Tech II - Travel Position
Hours : 6 : 30 AM Summer Starts 40 hours / week
Pay : $21 - $24 per hour
Essential Job Functions
Assist Tower Tech Tier 3 with quality control work
- Climb towers up to 1000 ft .
- Install / maintain wireless Internet equipment
- Mount Internet equipment & relay data cables to each device
- Install battery backups & grounding systems for equipment
- Prepare equipment for installation
- Follow training protocols & safety briefings; Configuration of approved devices as directed; database & docoumentation updates; On-site analysis as needed
- Other duties as directed
Job Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to be added to the Company auto insurance policy
Successful completion of all Tower Tech Tier 1 Duties - Minimum 1 year demonstrated experience as a Tower Tech Tier 1
- Must successfully complete required tower training within 90 days of hire
- Obtain & maintain the provided training certifications per industry standards
- Ability to climb towers up to 1000 ft.
- Work after normal business hours & weekends as needed
- Overnight travel up to 1 week at a time
- Ability to obtain DOT certification

Working Conditions
Fast-paced environment with multiple changes to schedules & fluctuating priorities, work is performed primarily outdoors & in all weather conditions & at roof-top / tower-level heights and in tight spaces.
