The Project Manager is responsible for managing the moving parts, mitigating risks, and keeping leadership apprised of status related to the Product Marketing workstreams. They will have experience in executing large, complex projects. The Project Manager is well versed in project management methodology, has a respected track record, is energetic, personable and thrives in a dynamic environment. The Project Manager possesses the ability to find creative solutions to issues that jeopardize program goals/business objectives or timing, within budget or resource constraints.
The Project Manager can envision the ‘big picture’ and interfaces with a variety of stakeholders including leadership and vendors. The Project Manager can manage worke in a cross-functional, matrdix management environment where high-risk, cost, impact or change is paramount to the organization. The role relies upon experience in relationship management, master plan management, communications, change management, delivery execution and benefits realization.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Exhibit leadership with respect to project development, team interactions, business insights and process improvement.
- Provide status reporting for project progress, issues, dependencies, and risks
- Identify project stakeholders, risks and benefits of alternate designs; document assumptions; assess project impact of business changes to users, internal and external customers
- Develops and executes management plans for time, cost, scope, quality, communications, risk, human resources, procurement and integration.
- Facilitate communication among executives, peers and relevant department and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain alignment and awareness of current state and future plans.
- Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources.
- Measure progress toward goals and revises project objectives
- Support the prioritization of initiatives and define necessary resources needed to optimize the customer experience and strengthen financials.
- Consult with internal customers, cross-functional team members and external vendors to capture agreed-upon business objectives and processes to define business requirements
- Builds relationships with key stakeholders and project resources to drive key decisions and ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications:
Minimum
- 3 or more years of experience required in related field (e.g., Telecommunications, Technology, Marketing, Process Improvement, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
Preferred
- BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly preferred (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
- Project Management or Agile/Scrum Certification (E.G., PMP, CSM, PSM)
