The Senior Accountant at Wize Solutions will play a critical role in our finance team, working directly with the CFO and providing essential support for the company's financial operations. What You'll Own:
- General Ledger Management:
- Oversee and maintain the general ledger.
- Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
- Month-End Close:
- Manage the month-end close processes.
- Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable.
- Complete regular invoice processing.
- Payment disbursement for employees and customers.
- Handle collections from customers.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Providing variance analysis and recommendations for cost control.
- Reconciliation:
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts.
- Complete regular credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Payroll Processing:
- Oversee payroll processing.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of employee salaries and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Ensure they comply with all tax laws and regulations.
- Internal Controls:
- Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Audit Support:
- Support the CFO with external auditors during annual audits.
- Provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Fixed Assets Management:
- Maintain records of fixed assets including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Identify ongoing trends of the company.
- Recommend improvements to financial performance.
- Special Projects:
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as directed by the CFO.
- Help provide financial insights and expertise.
- Supervision:
- Supervise and lead a team of 2 accounting staff members.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity and professional growth.
Experience You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
