The HR Recruiter is responsible for all hourly and some staffing needs including posting internal and external open positions, screening candidates, interviewing, and onboarding.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Assists with the design and implementation of an overall recruiting strategy.
- Develops an understanding of the staffing needs for the Company.
- Deploys effective selection criteria (regular and temporary team members) to seek out qualified candidates and performs thorough interviewing techniques to select best fit candidates.
- Oversees applicant flow to include contacting applicants, tracking and making follow up calls, scheduling interviews for qualified candidates, conducting interviews, and ensuring all processes for tracking and follow up with applicants are followed.
- Posts hourly and some salaried positions internally and exterally.
- This role is responsible for closely working with the staffing agencies and employing temporary team members and ultimately transitioning them to fulltime WKW team members. Must be a strong liason with the staffing agencies, and department managers and supervisors.
- Initiates background investigations for selected candidates.
- Schedules and conducts new hire orientation. Communicates schedule to HR, Senior Managers, and hiring managers.
- Leads and participates in all job fairs and recruitment events.
- Sources great candidates using social media, networking, advertising and other recruitment tools.
- Increases knowledge of industry, becoming a subject matter expert.
- Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation and employment law, influencing hiring managers to comply with regulations, recommending appropriate procedures and processes.
- Supports team member relations and team member events.
- Produces various recruiting and retention metrics.
- Performs other Human Resources duties and projects as assigned
Computer Skills:
- Must be proficient using MS Office applications such as Excel and Word.
- Must have a working knowledge of HRIS systems.
Education:
- Associates degree required, Bachelors Degree in appropriate field preferred for future career growth.
- 3 years sourcing / full cycle recruiting experience preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct different types of structured interviews.
- Supports workplace diversity.
- Ability to manage high volume activity in a fast-paced environment, comfortable with multi- tasking and handling numerous internal customers in tandem. Strong organizational/project management skills.
- Professional demeanor, able to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS.
- Professional in Human Resource (PHR) certification preferred.
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
