What are the responsibilities and job description for the Archery Lead position at WMNI DHQ 61493?

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide life guarding surveillance of pool and waterfront activities as needed
  • Utilize the training you have received to operate a safe ropes course facility in a fun atmosphere of personal and group achievement.
  • Assist in all areas of shooting range – archery, riffle & paintball
  • Keep all activity areas clean and well maintained.
  • Assist the counselors and campers that you have been assigned to with bedtime responsibilities
  • Serve daily in the pop stand and the camp store.
  • Assist in teaching or leading an activity, as assigned.
  • Set a good example for campers, guests and others including cleanliness, punctuality, sharing clean up and chores, sportsmanship, and table manners.
  • Assist in restoring camp facilities and grounds to order at the conclusion of each camp session and prepare set-ups for the next camp session.
  • Attend all training meetings and staff devotions.
  • Participate and assist with all camp programming – residential and day camp
  • Assist with kitchen and dining hall responsibilities (serving, dishes, sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, etc.)
  • Assist the Site and Facilities department (maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping) as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • ARC Lifeguarding, CPR/PR & AED, ACCT belaying & facilitating. NRA RSO and NASP Basic Archery Instructor OR participate in trainings if available to acquire certifications appropriate to position
  • Desire and ability to work with children in an outdoor setting.
  • Available from the last day of school to August 1st.
  • Ability to relate to one’s peer group
  • Ability to accept guidance and supervision
  • Ability to work with others.
  • Ability to assist in teaching an activity.
  • Good character, integrity, and adaptability.
  • Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
  • Must be 15 to lifeguard at pool, 16 to guard at Waterfront and 18 for Ropes and Shooting Range.
  • Christian exhibiting the principles of Christian living
