Position Summary:
Principle duties consist of assisting physicians in monitoring, collecting, and processing radiological and physiological data during diagnostic and interventional examinations and studies such as both coronary and peripheral diagnostic angiograms, PCI’s (Percutaneous Coronary Interventions), PTA’s (Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty). Monitors patients hemodynamically per department protocols and initiates appropriate interventions when indicated. Assessed patients before, during, and post-procedure, and documents accordingly. Prepares and educates patients and families prior to discharge.
Qualifications:
- CA RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- 2 years recent (within 6 months) Critical Care or Cath lab experience (Please Note: ER experience NOT considered critical care experience)
- Must be willing to take Mandatory Call (Stemi Call)
On Call:
- Response Time: 30 minutes (must be dressed, in the room, ready to go)
- Minimum of 1 Weekend/month (7AM Saturday - 7AM Monday)
- After Hours Call: 8-15 x per month
- Holiday Call Rotation
Hours: 4 - 8hr Shifts, Variable Start Times and Days Off
