Title: Executive Producer (Television Animation)
Responsible for leading the development and production of animated television series at the studio as the most senior creative leader who exerts their vision and direction to produce world-class animated storytelling. Lead animated productions through various artistic disciplines: ideation, story development, visual development, design, asset creation (modeling, rigging, and surfacing), storyboards, editing, animation, lighting and rendering, visual effects, audio/music production and mixing, and video post-production. Provide the artistic and cinematic vision for entire projects from conception through pre-production, production, and post-production. Partner with studio executives to pursue and develop new properties, shepherd original intellectual properties with internal and external creators, and pitch and sell projects to distributors. Lead, train, and help to hire other senior creative leaders including directors and supervisors across writing, design, art, storyboard, animation, lighting, and production teams. Inspire and build relationships with directors, supervisors, leads, and other staff in each artistic discipline to grow and maintain team morale and creative alignment. Coordinate with production and business affairs teams to determine and abide by production schedules and budgets. Orchestrate and manage creative work across various studios and external vendors, potentially including foreign/overseas animation studios with different communication styles and cultures. Partner with technical and CG leads to determine and refine animation pipelines and technology. Participate in the casting process, attend recording sessions to assist in voice direction, and ensure all dialogue and walla is prepared before each episode’s kickoff. Drive and ensure the highest quality designs, assets, storyboards, animatics, animations, visual effects, lighting, rendering, and composition by overseeing episodic directors and supervisors and drawing on extensive filmmaking experience and knowledge of animation hardware and software for traditional animation, CG animation, and real-time engine technologies. Simultaneously shepherd multiple episodes in a complex overlap schedule to ensure the episodes and seasons meet the creative goals of the creators, writers, and EPs. Solve problems and overcome constraints in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Requirements: Ten (10) years experience in animated television as an Executive Producer, Supervising Director, Creative Producer, Television Showrunner, or a related position.
Salary: $183,082.00 per year
