Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is recruiting E&I Technicians to join our team in Perth, WA. This is a short-term casual contract, located in Fremantle. Join our expanding Oil and Gas Operations team. This will suit someone who is in between FIFO work or is currently looking for local work.
Wood's Operations APAC (West) business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation, and technical services to the Oil & Gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with the region’s most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Kazakhstan.
Reporting to the Lead E&I Engineer. To be successful in your role, you will have prior experience in maintenance and/ or in the Oil & Gas sector.

Skills / Qualifications
Only candidates with full work rights for the Australian location will be considered.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and tickets:
- A Grade Electrical Trade Qualification
- Valid WA Electrical Licence
- Cert III or IV Instrumentation
- Hazardous Areas (either EEHA or full Cert IV). Must be current within the past 3 years or you are able to refresh immediately
- Current CPR & Low Voltage Rescue
- A current "C" class Australian driver's licence or national equivalent
You will be skilled in the following areas:
- Thorough experience working within a maintenance environment, preferably within the oil & gas industry, however, other maintenance E&I experience in mining industry will be considered
- Effective fault finding and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate strong commitment to safety
- Great communication skills
Anticipated start date will be early April.
