Job Title: IT Support Technician

Location: Bellingham, WA
Hours: Monday thru Friday, 7a-4p with occasional work outside of normal business hours
IT Support Technician
As an IT Support Technician, you will use your technical knowledge and specialized skills to support, build, implement, and improve technology solutions. You will support co-workers with any technical issues that may arise. You are able to manage projects as a team or independently with minimal guidance.

Typical Day:
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems while providing co-workers assistance
Support co-workers via phone, e-mail, help desk tickets, and in-office walk-ups
Write detailed documentation on resolutions and author KB articles when necessary
Put out the fire of the day (e.g. windows update issue, software alerts, hardware failure).
Make a few small improvements (e.g. audit GPOs, improve labeling of equipment, rename shared files to adhere to a naming convention)
Create a few touchpoints (e.g. walk the floor and ask folks how things are going).
Learn something new about Wood Stone (e.g. what does backflushing a part mean?)
Learn something new for yourself (e.g. watch a video on writing SQL queries).
Help move a project to completion without too much scope creep.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or equivalent in Computer/IT related field
- 2 years of experience with PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment
- 2 years of experience with Microsoft Windows, Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- 2 years of experience with Networking DNS, DHCP, VLAN’s, and other associated protocols
- Relevant Certifications such as: CompTIA A , CompTIA Network , Cisco/CCNA, Linux, etc.
Experience in the following areas is desirable:
- Working knowledge of macOS, iOS/Android, Linux (Suse/Debian)
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Microsoft 365
- Mitel phone systems
- SAP B1
- Zebra Printers
- Virtualization
- Firewalls (pfSense)
- Veeam
