Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is searching for an offshore Crane Mechanic with experience in the oil and gas industry.
Work schedule of 14x14 with a work terminal out of Galliano, LA.
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.
- Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists.
- Troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes, crane controls, hoists and drives.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Corrects equipment deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Documents service actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
- Evaluate and communicate with customers recommendations requiring repairs.
- Additional duties per Supervisor
Skills / Qualifications
Required: High school diploma or equivalent; Minimum 2 years work experience servicing overhead cranes.
Preferred: Secondary Education such as Trade School or Industrial Electrician certificate; Mechanical and electrical skills ideally learned from a trade school; Ability to work independently
