Activities Assistant Job Duties:
The Activities Assistant will primarily be responsible for assisting with resident activities. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist residents with grooming needs prior to attending activities.
- Assess resident capabilities concerning activities and group programs.
- Assist in recruiting and maintaining volunteers to assist in activity programs.
- Assist the Resident and Family Councils, and bring their concerns to the attention of the Administrator and other appropriate staff.
- Assist with all charitable fundraising activities as needed.
- Responsible for seeing that the resident mail and newspapers are sorted and delivered to the residents each day.
- Perform daily activities, special events, and in-room visits.
- Assist with resident outings.
Activities Assistant Requirements:
- Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or completed a GED program preferred.
