Medical Practice Manager

Experience Required:

• Medical Management
• Experience pulling medical records through Memorial Hermann, HCA Conroe and Methodist
• Medical Billing (Cardiology/Vascular) Preferred

Responsibilities:

• Experience with EMR (eClinicalWorks a plus)
• Maintains organized, confidential and secure medical records of all patients
• Communicates clear, understandable, and accurate information to patients regarding billing, insurance coverage, and available services
• Addresses any questions or concerns regarding all insurance payors
• Synchronizes the daily schedule of patients to optimize work flow and ensure each patient enough time for quality medical evaluation and treatment
• Monitors, resolves, and improves customer service issues
• Full supervisory responsibilities of all staff

• Approval of absences or overtime with Administrator
• Estimates/anticipates staff scheduling needs; calculates necessary coverage while adhering to FTE guidelines and minimizing overtime.
• Conducts annual and provisional employee evaluation; Address concerns accordingly.
• Oversees clerical functions (including scheduling, insurance verifications, collection, transcription, deliveries, and processing
• Ensures and directs the completion of new employee and continuation training..

• Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and high ethical standards
• Demonstrates an awareness of legal aspects surrounding the provisions of patient care; ensures clinic staff functions within legal guidelines
• Develop and maintain relationships with area physicians, medical providers, and other medical facilities.
• Hospital and Insurance Contracting/Credentialing.
• Handle Medical Records Request/FMLA Disabilty forms and Insurance Audits.
