Short Term Missions Trip Coordinator

Position Summary

The Short-term Mission Trips Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining the mission, vision, values, and objectives of the Short-Term Trip Ministry at WoodsEdge. The position will raise awareness of the value of short-term trips among the congregation, build and implement successful Short -Term Trip ministry, and recruit and train team leaders.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinate Short Term Trips through development of schedule and ministry connections for trips.
• Training and development of Trip Leaders and co-leaders
• Travel arrangements for individual teams
• Arrange for commissioning for each team through Prayer and Care
• Revising/ Editing Short Term Trips Development Program/ Manuals/ Training Modules
• Recruiting, Engagement, and Leadership Development of volunteers
• Sustaining yearly trip leaders, with the raising up of trained co-leaders for trips
• Arrangements of Pastoral and Missionary travel
• Developing communication pushes, including sharing stories, and planning and implementing large events to encourage congregational participation in trips.
• Occasionally participate in other Missional Life team activities as required such as team meetings, budgeting, planning and leading Short-Term Trips.
• Keen understanding of and passion for global and local missions.

· Increase WoodsEdge member awareness and engagement in short-term mission trips.

• Increase leadership and volunteer development in Short Term Trips

Requirements

· HS diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree, preferred

· 1- 2 years relevant work experience, preferred

· Experience in volunteering and/or missions

· Excellent time management skills and the ability to establish priorities

· Excellent organizational and administrative skills

· Excellent communication skills and team-oriented

· Sound judgment, adaptability, flexibility, and creative problem-solving when confronted with changing and challenging circumstances

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and other online applications

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

• Spring, TX 77389: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
