What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engagement Associate position at WOODSON YMCA?
The Landing Engagement Associate is responsible for creating a welcoming experience for all members and guests in a friendly, helpful and professional manner; providing support and guidance to members who are interested in signing up for classes, activities, trips, or other events at The Landing; and acting on behalf of The Landing leadership in their absence.

Compensation:$10 hourly
Responsibilities:- Provide outstanding customer service at all times
- Maintain a clean, attractive and well-organized center
- Have a general understanding of DAXKO computer processes, or be able to assist a member to a Member Engagement Associate at the front desk for assistance
- Be knowledgeable about the types of membership at The Landing (All Access and 55 Social/Virtual)
- Answer phone calls as necessary
- Be familiar with The Landing calendar of events, newsletter, and other program information
- Be familiar with The Landing and the Y’s policies and procedures
- Be a part of everyday operations in The Landing, including making coffee, introducing presenters, taking program attendance, preparing rooms for programs, etc
- Be familiar with the area and building safety procedures
- Have a basic understanding of the Y, especially as it pertains to a member’s All-Access Pass
- Provide tours of The Landing when leadership is not present
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Previous customer service experience
- Basic understanding of phone systems, computers, technology
- A great attitude and an outgoing personality
- A desire to connect with adults 55-plus
- CPR, First Aid and AED certifications are required within 30 days of employment
