Technical Director
Reports to Producer
Word on Fire Catholic Ministries is seeking a Technical Director to work under the leadership of the Producer to capture video content in the Word on Fire Institute’s studio located in Irving, TX. This position also assists in the internal quality control processes of the Production department.
Location: Irving, TX

Responsibilities
Manage studio operations including equipment operation, inventory, and maintenance
Maintain studio equipment inventory
Execute Producer’s creative visions
Record multi-camera studio content videos
Record voiceover, podcast, and audioplays
Execute live video switching
Coordinate location photography with local contractors
Research, recommend, and purchase studio equipment upgrades
Refine studio workflow
Collaborate with IT team and video editors to maintain file storage and directory structure
Occasional camera operation
Occasional non-linear editing
Requirements
3 years experience in a studio environment
Strong camera, audio, lighting, and video capture equipment operation skills
Anticipate and plan to overcome potential equipment and production problems
Ability to travel, work occasional weekends, and work occasional odd hours
Great organizational skills with a close attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
Final Cut Pro/Davinci Resolve proficient (NLE)
Adobe Creative Cloud
Familiarity with the work of Bishop Robert Barron and Word on Fire
