Job Description:

We have new positions, either part-time or full-time, starting in the 2022-2023 school year, that are available in Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area schools working with children in grades Pre-K-12. These positions require a minimum of 2 days/week. School caseloads can be combined for a position up to 5 days/week if desired. Our unique positions offer ongoing educational opportunities, collaboration with an experienced team of SLPs, the ability to make your own schedule, clinical fellow supervision, and strong administrative support.

Responsibilities:

The Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) will provide all required services including: observation/screening of referred students, assessment/evaluations, creation and implementation of appropriate IEP’s, teacher and parent consultation, professional documentation of reports and services, due process documentation, third-party billing for eligible students, and collaboration with school personnel and WordPlay SLP team.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice and appropriate assessment tools
  • Ability to develop appropriate and individualized treatment plans
  • Strong professional and positive interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and planning skills

Preferred Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the field working with children
  • Previous experience with writing and implementation of IEPs
  • Knowledge of Minnesota and Federal due process requirements and timelines
  • Experience working with and evaluating culturally and linguistically diverse populations

Compensation:

Dependent on qualification and experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $36.00 - $58.00 per hour
